If you’re familiar with the martial arts scene, particularly mixed martial arts (called MMA for short), then you might already know about Affliction clothing. They’re an American fashion manufacturer out of California, self described as an upscale men’s boutique brand. They’ve been raising standards and eyebrows on the fashion circuit for a few years now, already gaining something a notoriety for themselves.

Not only do they run their clothing label, they’ve also got Affliction Entertainment, an MMA promotion company. This gives them a stronger advantage with the hardcore crowd because you already understand that they’re authentic in the styles they’re presenting. They know the crowd because they are the crowd and it shows in their designs. Affliction shirts have in fact been banned from certain bars and clubs in Victoria and Vancouver, Canada because in that area they’re assumed to be gang-related. Of course the founders of Affliction are happy to explain this isn’t true, but the urban legends are always larger than life.

Since they’re relative newcomers to the fashion world, it’s not often that you’ll come across an Affliction sale or massive clearance but it’s definitely possible to score some great deals here and there if you keep an eye out. The casual clothing world knows that Affliction is an up and coming brand, one that’s going to need to be paid attention to. They’ve got a great sense of style that so many people relate to. That’s going to keep them pleasing their fans for a very long time.
