As the world becomes more centered around the Internet and computers, more people are beginning to look into having their very own home offices. Just a small space where they can work, play, and just have time to themselves. It’s the modern day study, and you can create your own for much less than you think.
First, you should go for the basics. Most home offices will need a desk, computer chair, and of course a computer. The furniture can be bought cheaply from any major warehouse store, and you can even get some great items at local thrift stores.
The computer might seem like it would cost more, but I am assuming that if you are reading this you probably already have one. If not, websites like Newegg offer laptops and PC’s for a few hundred dollars, and while they may not be cutting edge, they work well, and will be enough for most purposes.
Other items you may wish to look into are filing cabinets to keep track of documents and files, lamps to allow for some dim light away from bright florescence, and maybe an extra chair and a bookcase, just to help you to get away.
